Scottie, 21, is a Future Talent alumnus and award-winning jazz pianist and composer. His arrangement of Gluck’s ‘Orfeo ed Euridice’ was premiered by Simon Trpčeski on BBC Radio 3, and his compositions have gained millions of streams. “My piece ‘Wait and See’ is written for string quartet and rhythm section, blending jazz grooves with folk-inspired violin melodies,” says Scottie. “I wanted to convey the joy and support I’ve received from Future Talent, and the string quartet added a new dimension to my work, providing an uplifting and danceable energy.” The piece reflects Scottie’s deep appreciation for the opportunities provided by Future Talent, fusing his jazz background with classical string writing.
