Working with six world-class organisations – including our partners D’Addario and Voces8 Foundation – and a host of fantastic educators, professional musicians, practitioners and speakers; we have prepared an action-packed schedule of events for all young musicians supported by our Junior and Development Programmes on 18-20 February 2021.
Taking place later this month, our three-day Virtual Residential will reflect a traditional ‘real-life’ residential course with workshops, classes, and lectures taking place throughout the day, including activities focussed on health, movement and overall wellbeing.
Typically, our Programme events have been delivered over the course of one day, to select groups of up to around 30 musicians. This month, every moment of our Virtual Residential will be available for all 94 of our young musicians to take part, with the potential to deliver over 2,000 hours of support!
Since last year, by exploring various digital resources, we have boosted the inclusivity and accessibility of our Programme, reaching our supported musicians from all corners of the UK, for whom it would be challenging to attend our events under normal circumstances. We are determined to continually improve the accessibility of our Programmes in the future.
At a time when opportunities to collaborate with friends and peers are hard to come by, we are proud to be able to create this space for all of our young musicians to create, learn, have fun and socialise together.
