They Harvey Parker Award is for talented young woodwind players aged 16-18, in memory of Future Talent alum Harvey Parker, a multi-instrumentalist who was supported by Future Talent on the flute. Harvey had gone on to study music at The University of York, and the award will continue his memory by supporting budding young woodwind players.

The award will provide £2,000 towards the recipient’s musical costs, such as tuition, courses, instrument purchase, hire or repair, sheet music or other equipment. The award is sponsored by the co-founders of 3812 Gallery in London, Calvin Hui and Mark Peaker, and The Harvey Parker Trust has been set up to support creative young talent from marginalised backgrounds who experience mental health issues.

On receiving the award, Clarice said 'I'm very honoured to have been selected for the Harvey Parker Award this year. Itis an exciting opportunity to join this vibrant musical community, work alongside other like-minded musicians, and spend a year making great music!'.

Future Talent looks forward to supporting Clarice in 2024/25.
